Happy Easter!!
We had rotisserie chicken, ham, deviled eggs, potato-vegetable salad, an appetizer of hummus and bean dip with homeade chips, and I made a coconut cake for dessert.
Mimi and Elora decorated some eggs.
Vincent was strapped to his chair so we could keeps tabs on him while we cooked.
Getting ready for the hunt
Got one!
and here's2 more!
Next year Vincent should be able to participate. For now he is happy enough to observe from his highchair. And once Elora emptied all the goodies out from her eggs, V had a good time playing with the plastic shells
all tuckered out. Both children fell asleep on the way home and were put to bed in their Easter best for fear of waking them up when I changed them into their pjs.

2010
If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes. This is something I’ve always heard about living in Indiana. And it’s so true. This first set of pictures were taken March 31st. Out of nowhere it started snowing hard. and then all the sudden, the sun came out and the snow was gone as fast as it came.
The next pictures of Elora as Cinderella were taken just a few days later-it was just a nice spring day and we decided to walk out front for a bit just to see what was growing.
And these last few of her in her swimsuit were taken yesterday. It got up to 82 degrees. I let E play in the sprinkler while I did some weeding and planting.
the ballerina show
Elora really makes me laugh sometimes. It’s fun to see her play pretend and use her imagination. Recently she was really wanting to put on a ballet show. She gathered a few audience members and gave them each a chair. I helped her move the chairs over. I thought her toys could all sit and share one chair, but E wanted them to each have a chair of their own. It seemed really important to her, so I helped her find 3 more. She then told me that she needed a stage, so we moved the kitchen rug out so she could dance on it. “ Are you ready now?” I asked. No, she wasn’t. She still needed flowers and a ribbon on a stick. So after I made her a ribbon on a stick and found a felt rose and some fake hydrangeas, she was finally ready to dance. What were the flowers for? She told me to throw them at her while she was dancing.
