Merry Christmas! And Happy Birthday to Elora! We celebrated at Mom and Dads. First was Christmas. We opened presents, and then ate an early dinner. By then, Elora was ready for her nap. When she woke up, it was time for the Birthday Party!

Elora and the Christmas Mouse.

Opening Presents!

We got a Wii! So did Chris. Here is Dad trying out the Golf game. And Chris boxing.

Happy Birthday Elora! She just woke up and got changed into her birthday dress.

I made her some Yo Gabba Gabba Dolls. It's her favorite show.

She got the real "Toodee" from her Nana Gloria. It talks and sings.

Time for Cake!

Elora is going to be one!

I am amazed that it has almost been one whole year since Elora came into our lives. This year has flew by! It almost makes me a little sad that she's growing up so fast. It's funny, while it seems that time has gone by so fast, I can barely remember her being a itty bitty newborn baby.

I gave Elora a haircut, just trimmed up the back where she gets lots of tangles. You can kind of tell it is a little shorter if you look at these pictures compared with the previous post. She's had a cold for the past couple of days. She's been congested and sleepy. You can tell she's not feeling a 100%.

Here's a smile

Somebody Likes Spaghetti

Well actually, it's macaroni noodles. I thought they'd be easier for her to pick up. After looking at these, I think it's safe to say that she is going to be right handed. Notice the amount of sauce on her right hand compared to her left.

California

We had a great time in California, and it turned out to be a pretty eventful week. Elora was baptized. Alfred and I did some sight-seeing. We went to both Los Angeles and San Diego. Elora got to spend quality time with her grandparents. She met her Great Grandma Jackie and her Great Aunt Denise for the first time. We went to the Delgadillo Family Thanksgiving-this is an annual event that takes place, and was our first time attending. Alfred hadn't been since 2001. . The Baptism was really nice. It was at Sacred Heart in Palm Dessert, CA. It was a private ceremony that took place on Wednesday, 11/19. Elora's uncle, Renaldo, went to Europe recently and brought back a rosary and holy water from the Vatican that we were able to use. Stephen and Nikki Wright are the God Parents. They are our really great friends that I know will be in Elora's life for a long time. Alfred has known Steve since he was about two, and Nikki and I have been best friends since the fourth grade.
After the ceremony, there was a small reception held at Alfred's Aunt Dahlia and Uncle Albert's house. I only have a few pictures from the reception that I can post now. I will add more later when I get them.

cake made by Alfred's Aunt Mary ******************************************************************************** We went to the LA area one day and just spent some time walking around at Venice Beach. There are a lot of little shops, art vendors, etc to check out. I love sunset on the beach. ********************************************************************************* Steve, Nikki, Alfred, and I spent 2 nights in San Diego. (approx 2 hours from Indio, CA). You could call this our vacation from our vacation. We stayed in a really nice hotel, right on the ocean, and spent most of our time hanging out on the beach and relaxing. Renaldo lives in San Diego, so we got to spend some more time with him too. View From Our Hotel Balcony

It was decorated so beautifully, I felt like I was at a wedding reception Elora with cousin Mateo Another cake by Mary Elora with Denise
