Indiana State Fair

Mom, Elora, and I went to the Indiana State Fair...I took Elora last August too, but she was too young to like it. I thought this year she might get a kick out of seeing all the animals. I think she liked the goats the best.

She's telling it "Baaaahhh"

(again Baaahhh)

She also saw pigs, horses, donkeys, and cows. She didn't seem to impressed with the cows.

She was getting tired by then.

And of course when you go to the fair, you have to eat fairfood. We got the ribbon sliced potatoes. mmmmm....

It's been awhile

since I've posted anything new. I've been spending most of my spare time napping or lying on the couch watching tv. I nap when Elora naps. And I lay on the couch (trying not to nap) when Elora watches cartoons and plays with her toys. I forgot how exhausting being pregnant is. Also, my camera cord went missing for about 2 weeks and I couldn't move any pictures onto the computer. So those are my 2 excuses. For now, I'll just post some pictures taken over the last month or so since I finally found my camera cord and got them uploaded to the computer.

These were from Father's Day. This was the day I broke the new baby news to Mom, Dad, Chris, and Grandma Dee. I had made a tshirt for Elora that said "Big Sister to Be". (The 'be' part was a picture of a little honeybee.) Without mentioning anything about it, I changed Elora into the shirt and sent off to show everyone...Some got it right away, some didn't :)

These next ones are from 4th of July Weekend.

Here are some of Elora with her godparents, Nikki and Steve. (Elora calls then Teet and Keekee.) It poured down rain all day on the 4th, so no fireworks to watch. Alfred had to work all day, but Elora and I went to visit Nikki and Steve for an indoor cookout. Steve grilled bugers in between rainshowers and we ate inside.

Being Silly

Uncle Butch and Scott were in town over the 4th too. On the 5th, we had a cookout at Mom and Dad's. Good friends of Butch and Scotts, Trip and Stephanie, came over too. They brought their little boy, Auggie. Auggie is about 6 months younger than Elora. They had a lot of fun playing together.

This one is so cute! Not sure what they're looking at.

These next 2 come from a couple weeks ago. I was doing my usual laying on the couch, trying to stay awake while Elora plays on the floor with her toys. At the time, she was facing away from me, but sitting on the floor, and looked like she was just hunched over one of her toys. I was just thinking about how quiet and well behaved she was being, and marveling over how she can entertain herself so well...Then she turned around proudly holding up an uncapped green marker. She had been busy coloring, mostly her feet. A little on her face and the floor too. I couldn't help but laugh.

Elora didn't think it was very funny when I took her marker away though.
