Baby update

Less than 3 weeks til my 2/14 due date. I'm ready! well except for he still doesn't have a name, I usually refer to him as baby brother. Alfred and I still haven't decided on what to call him. I'm thinking of giving a cash reward to the person that can come up with a name that we both like. We both have several names picked out, but we don't care much for each other's choices. Hopefully we'll be able to agree on something when we finally see him. His room is pretty much put together. And I think I have everything I need for when we bring him home. We still need to pull the infant carseat out of the attic and clean it up. That should be it. name and carseat.

I'm going to the doctor weekly now. I'm dialated to 2. (have been for awhile). Dr. Ball says it could be any day, or it could be a few weeks away. I'm shooting for 2/2, groundhog's day. (as if I have any say in it) And then he'll still have a holiday birthday. Valentine's Day seems very far away right now.

I've been keeping up with my Flickr 365 project. I've got a picture for everyday so far. FYI, you can click on a picture and it will take you to the Flickr website where I've tried to attach a small caption for each day.

Hopefully my next post will be in the very new future...with pictures of a little baby boy that has a name. :)

Today included another trip to the Children's Museum and a follow up visit to the eye doctor.

Mimi came with us. We checked out the Dinosphere, an Egypt exhibit, and the Carousel-all stuff we didn't have time to see last time when we went. Elora started crying when the carousel ride was over, she wanted to go again. But we needed to leave to make it to Dr. Clark's office on time. This was the 4 week follow-up after her surgery. She is healing well. I haven't noticed her eyes drift at all. The doctor says they will take up to 12 weeks to completely heal, so we'll go again in 8 more weeks to check them again.

Alfred and I took Elora to the Children's Museum

We went ahead and purchased the Family Membership. It should pay for itself if we go two times this year. It was fun! Elora had a good time. The Indianapolis Children's Museum is the biggest in the country, 5 floors of fun. We were there almost 3 hours and only saw a portion of it.

We went to the train exhibit, the holiday exhibit, the playscape area (for kids 5 and under), we saw a Sesame Street Planetarium show, and Elora went down the big slide.

At the Fireworks of Glass Exhibit.

Picture came out blurry, but I'm sure Elora is saying "WEEEEEE!" Which is what she says everytime she goes down a slide.

And here we are on the way home.
Elora is putting on her pink Cinderella chapstick.
I thought she'd slathered on plenty, and I took it away. Elora did not agree.

Picture a Day.

I'm going to try. Flickr-the photo sharing website-has a lot of neat photo project ideas. One that caught my eye is Project 365. Basically, the object is to take and upload one photo per day. I'm sure I'll miss a day or two, but I think it's a fun idea. Especially since I take tons and tons of pictures of Elora and will take tons of pictures of baby boy when he gets here.
I know I won't have time to put them on the blog daily, but I installed a little widget here on the side that will show my most recent pictures uploaded to Flickr.

Here's todays. Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy 2010!
