daffodils just a day or so away from blooming

I took the kids to the playground yesterday.  It was only in the 50s, but it was still nice to be out in the sun.  Vincent loved the baby swings.  Elora told me that she wasn’t scared of swings anymore and opted to give them a try. As soon as I gave her a push and she was in motion she realized that, yes, she was still scared.   IMG_0197

Elora, not so much.   Luckily the slide and teeter totter float her boat. IMG_0218 IMG_0211

Spring is on the way!

The weather was close to 50 degrees so Elora and I spent some time outside. I worked on cutting away some of the dead plants around the yard and picking up sticks and whatnot while Elora joyfully played on her beloved slide (that is getting to be a little small for her).  While 48 degrees isn't exactly considered warm weather,  compared to the 20-30 degree days we’ve been dealing with, it felt wonderful! The sun was shining, the sky was a lovely shade of blue,  and Elora kept saying every few minutes, “Mama, I’m not ready to go inside yet. “ I think she’s really missed playing outside, and she was worried it wasn’t going to last long.
