We went to the eye doctor on Thursday...

According to Dr. Clark, the pediatric ophthamologist, Elora has Exotropia.

Exotropia, from what I gather, is the opposite of crossed eyes. In Elora's case, it's not constant and seems to only affect her right eye.

To treat it: We were given prescription eye drops. Once a week we will put the drops put in her left eye (her good eye). The drops will dilate the pupil of her good eye and make things a bit blurry. This should make her weak eye work harder and help strengthen the eye muscles. This is what they do now instead of patching, which makes sense because it would probably be hard to make 14 month old keep a patch on her eye.

We go back in 6 weeks to reevalute.
I took a couple pictures of her at the doctors office.

This one sort of shows they way her eye turns out
